Genuinely the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Short rib pizza was the most flavorful pizza I’ve ever eaten in my life and the chicken. Parm was super crispy with this delicious marinara sauce. Our server Adel was amazing and super kind and recommended us some phenomenal dishes! 5 Stars!

Made dinner reservations in advance for a group of 8 on a Wednesday evening - restaurant was pretty full and not very big (both indoor and outdoor seating). Service was friendly but did take quite a long time to get our drink and food orders in. After that, the food did come out fairly quickly. -Homemade Focaccia -Garlic Cheese Bread -Fries with Calabrese Sauce -Rita Pizza -Pesto Vegetable Pasta -Espresso Martini -Canoli Everything was delicious and prices were as to be expected for the area. Views from patio were very pretty / nice breeze. Would recommend for a nice meal with a medium size group.
The best food we had the area. Italian food with homemade noodles and pizza. The pizza was good, to many toppings will overpower the taste of the pizza. The bread was amazing. Great place!
Nice little local spot. Matthew was great at the bar. We ordered from aribeta shrimp squid ink pasta and MPA pizza. Can't go wrong with that combination.
The best Italian food we’ve ever had! We dined here twice during our 6-day vacation because it was just that good. The wait staff were absolutely amazing. We were celebrating our honeymoon, and the staff even signed a card for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. Both of our servers, a lovely woman whose name we unfortunately forgot & Tucker, provided top-notch service. We truly can’t say enough great things about this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.
One of our favorite dining spots in the Big Island. Top notch service and delicious food served. The chicken (Pollo ala) marsala dish is outstanding. Brussel sprouts is also a great choice too.
Amazing Italian restaurant. Because everything is cooked fresh and from scratch, the kitchen can easily modify dishes from the menu or even create something completely new based on your suggestions and what ingredients they have available. The owner, who is also the chef, is an excellent cook and immediately understands what you’re looking for, which makes the whole experience feel very personal. The kitchen team, waiters, and bartenders are all very friendly and welcoming - you can tell there are genuinely great people working there. Another big plus is the value — the prices are very reasonable, especially compared to resort restaurants, while the quality of the food is excellent. I always enjoy coming back here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian food and a great atmosphere ❤️
We had a wonderful experience at Pueo’s Osteria. The vodka sauce pasta was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The pizza had a great crispy crust that made every bite satisfying, and the focaccia bread was tender, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything we tried was excellent, and the service made the experience even better. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. We loved everything about our visit and would definitely recommend Pueo’s Osteria to others. We look forward to returning the next time we’re in the area!
We had a fantastic meal and the atmosphere was wonderful. We ordered a New York strip steak and the Radiatore Pasta. We had the Arancini for an appetizer. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was Aulii and she was super sweet, very attentive to us and took time to share information about the island as we were visiting and looking for ideas and suggestions from locals. Outstanding service! The meal was on the pricy side as we also had a couple of drinks, but was a great evening out! Highly recommend!!!
